|Description:||The QA Analyst is responsible for reviewing technical requirements for testability, converting requirements into test procedures and ultimately executing test procedures to evaluate the quality of software that has been delivered to QA. QA Analyst is responsible for the more complex and technically detailed testing and shall also be experienced in managing the traceability between requirements and test procedures. The QA Analyst contributes to automation development.|
In addition the QA Analyst may lead QA test efforts in through the software development lifecycle – requirements review, test procedure generation, test execution, and bug verification.
|Duties:||•Review of requirement specifications from PM and provide feedback and insight as it pertains to the areas of technical expertise.|
•Provide input and guidance, in light of technical expertise, to the development of test scenarios and test procedures based on requirements and design documents and QA’s test methodologies and philosophiesbest-practices.
•Provide input and guidance to automation development that is relevant to area(s) of expertise.
•Efficiently and thoroughly document all findings, work with development to resolve defects and retest.
•Identify areas of product and/or project risk in light of area(s) of technical expertise
•Provide periodic status updates to QA Director regarding test progress, project risks, and essential project-impacting events.
•Guide test efforts to ensure product quality while remaining on schedule as practical.
•Guide team through the development and maintenance of requirement traceability between requirements and test procedures.
|Qualifications:||•SME in one or more key areas: application security (e.g. exploits, encryption, secure authentication, vulnerability testing), test automation, infrastructure (e.g. networking, AD/LDAP,)|
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Ability to work independently and as a member of a high performance team
•Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking and common networking protocols
•At least 3 years of Formal Testing background as part of a QA Department, including manual QA experience
•Thorough understanding of testing methodology and ability to develop and test products derived from requirements
•Familiarity with Windows networking and system administration
•Experience with TestDirector, StarTeam, or similar
•Experience in testing Windows, Linux, Mac OX, Solaris, and Web based applications
•Two-year degree or equivalent SQA experience
•Experience with scripted languages (Python, Perl, VBS)
