Duties:Responsible for resolving technical support cases, researching reported problems and documents solutions. Troubleshoots system configurations, replicates customer network and system environments to aid in troubleshooting process. Effectively interacts with customers via e-mail, telephone and remote utilities. Provides pre-sales support and technical services to sales team and prospective customers. Solicits sale of new maintenance and support plans for Secure FTP Server. Works closely with Level 3 Server Support Techs regarding bugs and follows up to make sure fixes are received and tested. Advises technical writers on user documentation. Completes, maintains, and processes pertinent paperwork and records related to case management and software change requests. Answers incoming customer service calls and responds to e-mail from customers and prospects.
Qualifications:�Minimum of 3 years experience in a customer support environment.
�Must have ability to read, write and comprehend complex instructions, correspondence, and memos.
�Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and employees.
�Strong mathematical skills with the ability to compute rates, ratios and percentages.
�Excellent reasoning skills to carry out detailed written and oral instructions.
�Proficient problem-solving skills with understanding of how to sort through complex issues and conduct comparative analysis of multiple solutions.
�Expert experience using the latest operating systems to include Windows Server 2003 and Linux or UNIX.
�Experience with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and Access) and StarTeam.
�Understanding of enterprise network architecture and data file transfer methods and protocols.
�Ability to learn quickly.
�Associates Degree in CS preferred.
�MCSC, MCSE, Networking +, A+ Certified preferred, but not required
