The Senior Consultant is responsible for delivering excellent technical advice, implementing technical solutions and providing knowledge transfer to GlobalSCAPE customers. Heavy travel may be necessary to deliver the high quality service expected. This position requires a motivated, self-directed individual who is able to comfortably communicate directly with executives, as well as, engineering personnel at customer sites.

| Duties: | �Peforms advanced diagnostics and maintenance on Windows servers running GlobalSCAPE software
�Develops, maintains an updates a library of technical documentation
�Provides Sales support for multiple projects
�Consistently follow up on projects
�Must drive on-going projects to completion
�Responds to customer requests and stays current in the knowledge of the full range of products and services and creates enthusiasm for new products
�Communicates closely with other departments regarding customer needs
�Provides feedback to the company on customer needs, competitors, technology, and other pertinent issues
�Communicate and promote the company's image and objectives externally
�Detail oriented and able to multi-task
�Strong technical skills
�Build and maintain good business relationships with customers
�Writes and speaks clearly
�Effective interpersonal skills
�Travels domestically and internationally as needed, 50% on a regular basis and up to a possible 75% of the time
�Demonstrates enthusiasm and commitment toward the job
�Keeps current on new developments and techniques in information technology |
| Qualifications: | �5+ years experience with computer networks, computer hardware, and both network and desktop operating systems.
�Network and Microsoft Office Training
�4 year college degree preferred
�Experience and training in Windows Active Directory administration preferred
�Experience and training in LDAP administration a plus
�Detailed knowledge of network technologies (LAN and WAN), operating systems, telecommunication systems, data storage, deliver systems and email systems
� Extensive knowledge of database administration, Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle
�Knowledge of common networking protocols: HTTP, HTTPS, SSL, SFTP, FTPS, LDAP
�Basic web development (HTML/CSS) experience a plus
�Microsoft certification a plus
�Excellent written communication skills to include report and technical writing
�Network performance monitoring and troubleshooting
�Problem solving skills and ability to apply creative
tactical solutions to business needs
